mystical and magical

After poring over Pinterest for a good week, I became inspired by a wedding concept reflecting a magical, whimsical and almost fairytale-like aesthetic. As someone who always appreciates a good love story, I dove into this idea.

Delicate white flowers, twinkle lights, rustic furniture, neutral colors, sheer white paneling, hints of glitter (for the magic of course!), finger foods, and the outdoors came to mind.

I came across this beautiful part of a story on a piece of old weathered, tea stained parchment paper: this would be beautiful for an invitation. If I received this in the mail, I would immediately know the tone of the wedding. I love the texture of the paper and I am immediately transported into this fairytale dream land.

The decor came next to my mind. Where would be the best place to host this affair? What decorations would illuminate the whimsical feel? I love love love this rustic barn setting, pictured below. The mason jars and picnic tables seem to make it more casual but the table runners, flowers and place settings take it above and beyond that. It it is as if the best of both worlds are colliding into one: the elegance of a traditional wedding along with the homey feel of a barn/outdoor wedding.

This chair! I'm absolutely in love with how delicate it is. The flowers add the extra "oomph" to it and would be perfect to complement an outdoor wedding. The rustic look matches the barn as well as the invitation, so everything is able to look cohesive and put together.

Twinkle lights are my favorite! They add warmth, magic and coziness. They make the image come alive, especially in the black and white. This photo is timeless partially because of the color but I also think the lights add something special to it. What a beautiful way to end a beautiful wedding!
