Lauryn & Derek

Southern EQuestrian Glamour

groom dipping bride

Stylish, sweet, and true to her Alabama roots, Lauryn was the quintessential Southern bride. She and Derek said their I do's under cascading string lights in the gorgeous gardens of Belle Meade Plantation. A subtle color palette of rich fall neutrals was accented perfectly by bright fuchsia bridesmaid gowns in the historic carriage house setting. Lilies, hydrangea, and spider mums set a fragrantly beautiful tone beside vintage mirrors, mercury glass votives, and antique apothecary vessels. Wardrobe stylist Lauryn's eye for fashion was played up with her array of bridal accessories, worn on rotation throughout the night for each festivity with her textured peplum Olia Zavozina gown. Hot chicken grits, Alabama-style pulled pork, and apple cornbread fed happy guests (traveling in from near and far), along with a buttercream-swathed cake and UA groom's cake to appease every sweet tooth. The night ended with beaucoups of laughter, dancing to the incredible Downtown Band, and a classic departure into a 1959 silver Jaguar.
