Megan & David

Classic Botanic Timelessness

Subtle but striking, classic elegance to a T - does it get any prettier than this? Orchids, lush garden roses, freesia and stunning jackson vine in the softest shades of ivory and the palest blush complemented the shantung silk table linens and gauzy draping throughout the tented lawn. A formal place setting of King's silver and crystal was prepared for every guest, along with a white linen napkin encased by a monogrammed silver cuff. Megan was a vision in her ivory lace Augusta Jones gown and floral hair pins. David and his groomsmen donned custom Brooks Brothers suits in classic black & white, while the bridesmaids shone in caspian blue chiffon floor-length gowns. The couple wed under a heavily-flowered chuppah, where they were sprinkled for a fleeting moment with a handful of large raindrops for good luck. The wedding party reconvened for cocktail hour at the piano room in the Museum of Art and then enjoyed a dinner of lobster salad, filet mignon, and sea bass on the Swan Lawn under a chandelier-lit tent overlooking the sprawling hills and greenery. Dessert was composed of a four-tiered swiss meringue cake made by Dulce Desserts, embellished with a fresh floral garland. David twirled Megan around the dance floor to "I've Just Seen a Face" by the Beatles for their first dance as husband and wife, and wedding guests were entertained for hours thereafter with dancing and merriment.
